Spot Welder

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking Spot Welders in partnership with a prominent client in the Binghamton area within the Machining industry.


Job Summary
Pay: $20- $21 per hour
Shift: Mon - Fri: 1st


Spot Welder Responsibilities:

• Perform spot weld operations as per work order instruction and drawing specifications.
• Set up spot welds to the correct heat, tip, and AC forge delay. Ensuring the setup meets visual and strength requirements.
• Ability to select necessary tooling for applications.
• Utilize rigs and equipment for positioning workpieces.
• Change and dress electrodes and sand spot welds as required.
• Verify that weld operations comply with established specifications, including production work orders and drawings.
• Conduct quality checks and self-inspections throughout the welding process.
• Contribute to the upkeep and cleanliness of the workplace and surrounding area.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding machines as specified.
• Maintain a safe workplace, free of hazardous obstacles.

Spot Welder Qualifications and Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• 2 Years of Experience setting up and operating resistance welders preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and follow verbal directions and sketches.
• Proficient in basic shop math.
• Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing production needs and priorities.
