Patient Advocate Specialist

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Patient Advocate Specialist will resolve account balances for medical services by screening patients for eligibility in state and federal assistance programs and guiding them through the application process. Key responsibilities Screen patients for eligibility for state and federal assistance programs and initiate application processes Provide detailed instructions and maintain positive relationships with patients throughout the application process Document patient interactions and follow up on applications to ensure timely resolution of accounts Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is required Previous customer service or call center experience preferred Experience with medical coding or billing is a plus Proficient PC knowledge with typing speed of 30-40 wpm Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
