Part Time Medical Receptionist

Patient Service Representative (PSR) Our company is a physician-led, patient-centric network committed to simplifying health care and delivering connected care through our multispecialty and urgent care providers. Responsibilities Welcome and register patients, providing exemplary service to all incoming patients at CityMD. Organize and coordinate patient intake and other appointments. Accurately enter and update patient information in the system. Assist patients with completion of paperwork when necessary. Scan, update, and file medical records. Answer phone calls, questions, and related inquiries promptly and politely. Process medical insurance information, verify patient eligibility, and address insurance questions, liaising with the Billing department as appropriate. Handle cash and co-payments accurately and responsibly. Provide outstanding customer service to every patient. Inform site manager or assistant site manager of waiting room wait times and patient inquiries. Qualifications High School Degree or GED. Happy, welcoming, and can-do attitude with patients and coworkers. Experience working in a high-volume/high-intensity service industry (hospitality, restaurant, hospital, medical office, or retail). Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Detail-oriented and a team player. Computer proficiency and superior keyboarding skills (approximately 55 wpm). Flexible and adaptable nature to work in a continuously evolving environment. Passion for helping others in a healthcare environment. Ability to effectively interact with physicians, patients, and other staff members. Bilingual language skills required or preferred based on site location. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and stand for periods of time. Heavy computer use required. Compensation $18.25 per hour. Compensation is based on industry standards and may vary based on experience and location.
