Clinical Operations Manager (RN)
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Outpatient Oncology to provide dual leadership oversight for an established outpatient clinic and a newly opening clinic located nearby. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered nursing care while managing daily operations, staffing, and clinical outcomes.
The Nurse Manager will operationalize evidence-based practices, support regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of accountability, safety, and exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership oversight for daily unit/department operations and staffing
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered nursing care aligned with established policies and standards
- Monitor, evaluate, and improve clinical outcomes and patient safety initiatives
- Support accreditation, regulatory compliance, and achievement of internal/external benchmarks
- Manage admissions and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient throughput
- Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and care coordination across departments
- Assign staff based on clinical competencies and patient care needs
- Lead efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice and improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and service excellence
- Review patient satisfaction feedback and implement improvement strategies
- Support service recovery efforts and uphold a patient-first philosophy
- Manage staff scheduling and productivity according to established guidelines
- Oversee operating expenses, supplies, and equipment utilization
- Ensure equipment maintenance meets regulatory and accreditation standards
Qualifications
Required:
- Registered Nurse (RN) – Licensed in Texas or Compact State
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (Required)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Oncology Chemotherapy Certification
- Minimum of 1 year of healthcare leadership experience
Preferred:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- 2–5 years of clinical or leadership experience
