Do you enjoy dialing in parameters, reading a challenging print, and making clean, repeatable welds? Imagine starting with pre-cut components and finishing with a tight, spec-compliant assembly—sometimes repetitive, sometimes one-of-a-kind—often built in a fixture.

Your impact

In this role, you’ll rely on electric-arc welding to produce standardized and custom weldments. Here’s how you’ll contribute:

• Set up and run MIG/TIG processes on electric-arc machines for both repetitive and custom jobs.
• Study samples, blueprints, sketches, and instructions to plan sequence and verify requirements.
• Help design and construct weld fixtures that ensure accurate fit-up.
• Inspect to documented procedures and comply with the quality system; work may require secondary sign-off.
• Adjust machines to suit conditions—selecting heats, wires, and electrodes—to achieve production and quality goals.
• Support teammates and take direction from Lead personnel or Supervision.
• Troubleshoot welding equipment and related tools when issues arise.
• Champion safe work practices and follow all company safety standards.
• Consistently achieve routed rates or other specified targets.
• Complete accurate paperwork and daily task reporting.
• Keep your area clean and organized; tidy up at job completion or the end of shift.
• Handle other assigned tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years of manufacturing experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the Shop Supervisor or Operations Manager.
• Strong math proficiency and clear communication skills.
• Proficient in reading drawings and production process documentation; fluent with a tape measure.
• Must bring your own welding helmet.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physically capable of wearing a welder’s shield and respirator as needed is required.
