Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardio Vascular ICU (RN, ICU)

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Cardio Vascular ICU will provide specialized nursing care for patients in the CVICU unit. The role demands experience with advanced cardiovascular techniques and patient care, with responsibilities extending from pre- to post-operative care, including critical condition management and monitoring complex cardiac devices.

Responsibilities:

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and multi-system organ failure
• Management of CABG, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella, and post-cardiac surgery
• Pre/Post Cardiac Catheterization/Intervention and Valve Replacement/Repair
• Monitoring of Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz and care of LVAD/RVAD
• Administration and management of CVVHD/CRRT and IV therapies
• Management of continuous IV paralytics, sedation, emergency meds, and cardiac drips
• Acute Stroke Management, ventilator and BiPAP/CPAP care, and high-flow nasal cannula
• Interpretation of ABGs, ETT/NT suctioning, and surgical wound care
• Implement infection prevention and isolation precautions

Requirements:

• 3 years of CVICU experience and passing an EKG test
• Active IL license, CPR, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Experience with electronic medical records (Epic)
• Preferred experience with impella, ECMO, and LVAD patient care
