BLS / ACLS / etc: BLS/ACLS • Specific Skills Req’d: comprehensive management of cardiac surgery patients – CABG valve repair and replacement aortic surgery daily assessment and diagnosis and treatment planning management of arrhythmias proficient with pacemakers volume management and diuresis electrolyte abnormalities infection surveillance interpretation of data and synthesis chest tube management removal of surgical drains wound care care coordination and discharge planning recognition of clinical deterioration and timely escalation effective communication skills and professionalism • CSR Req’d: no • DEA Req’d: no • Minimum Experience Req’d # of years: 2 years’ experience / Trauma Level I experience required • Any additional requirements/details to screen for: Seeking an experienced NP/PA to provide coverage for a high-acuity Cardiac Surgery stepdown service – the APP functions as an integral member of the Cardiac Surgery team providing comprehensive inpatient management of complex pre-post operative cardiac surgery patients. The role requires an APP who is comfortable practicing with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating with cardiac surgeons and the multi-disciplinary team.
