You will provide technical support for the maintenance, repair, and manufacturing of injection mold tools and critical mold components. Collaborate with manufacturing and development teams to support the design, build, and upkeep of jigs and fixtures used in production machining and assembly operations.You will:Manufacture Injection Mold ToolingManufacture all critical components (inserts and core pins) for Mold ToolingProvide routine and preventive maintenance of all injection mold toolsManufacture jigs and fixtures as needed in all production areasWork in cooperation with in-house Research and Development to support critical projects where required, liaise with other ToolmakersBe fully involved in daily 5S and Kaizen activities within the plantPerform additional responsibilities/duties as requiredKey Qualifications:Possess a minimum 5+ years' experience working within a Tool Room environment, specifically manufacturing precision Injection MoldsHave completed an accredited Apprenticeship Training and/or possess a Technical CertificateHave a full understanding in the construction of all types of Mold Tools to include; two plate, three plate, hot runners, hydraulic and mechanical unscrewing toolsBe able to work to tight tolerances - typically ± 0.0002" across all machinesExhibit expert bench skills in assembly, fitting and timing of slides and bluing of critical shutoff areasHave a full understanding and ability to work from technical drawings and have ability to work without technical drawings as neededDemonstrate a full and extensive understanding of the injection molding processHave expert manual machining skills in areas of Milling, Turning and Surface Grinding including a comprehensive understanding with the use of all related equipment or attachmentsHave expert CNC Milling and Turning with the ability of both the Setup and Operation, including the associated Tooling with an in-depth understanding of the NC programsHave expert CNC EDM in Die Sinker and Wire with programming skill; possessing a comprehensive understanding with the Setup and Operation including the associated Tooling and ElectrodesHave experience using CAD systems to work with Technical Drawings, working with Solid Models, creating and generating Tool Paths for machiningHave a willingness and ability to use own initiative to work efficiently without supervision to meet deadlinesTake a methodical approach and have good organizational skillsPossess strong communication and decision-making skillsShift/Hours:1st shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm Monday – FridayAvailability for OvertimeCompensation:The hourly pay for this role is: $37-$42 with opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training.
