Position Title Supervisor, Tissue Recovery Operations About this job Location: Richmond, Virginia Department: Tissue Recovery Schedule: Full-Time | Shift work and On-Call. Holidays & Weekends as required; Overtime as needed. Travel 60% or more. Clinical Classification: Enhanced Clinical How you’ll make an impact As a Supervisor, Tissue Recovery Operations you will provide direct leadership to the Tissue Recovery surgical staff. You will assign daily activities, monitor productivity, and report outcomes to the department manager. You will develop and coach team members in key performance areas, assist the manager in addressing employee-related issues, celebrate successes, and participate in the on‑call rotation. Important: This role requires the ability to sit, stand, bend, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. during the shift, and wear personal protective equipment including surgical gowns, masks, visors or goggles, and caps. This role is critical to the LifeNet Health mission because it is an important step in taking donors’ gifts and transitioning them to lifesaving and health‑restoring allografts for patients around the globe. What you’ll do Leadership and Training: Supervise the Tissue Recovery clinical surgical staff, develop and manage operational shifts and on‑call schedules, monitor and approve payroll, assist with interviewing and selecting new staff, participate in training and performance evaluations, maintain records, and support employee recognition. Tissue & Specimen Recovery: Function as a Tissue Recovery Case Lead, participate in clinical recovery cases, act as trainer, preceptor, and competency assessor, observe and audit staff performance, and participate in the Administrator‑On‑Call schedule. Reporting and Project Management: Develop and maintain Tissue Recovery data reporting systems, ensure accurate completion of recovery records, oversee the Zone Assessment Guide, and participate in departmental and organizational LEAN projects. Quality & Continuous Improvement: Ensure quality outcomes, document and provide corrective action for complaints and non‑conformances, assist in policy development and compliance, and develop departmental metrics.
