Job Details

• Position: Locum Tenens Radiation Oncology Physician
• Location: Johnstown, Pennsylvania 15905
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,270 - $7,420
• Coverage Dates: October 12-16 and December 28-31
• Setting: On-site radiation oncology coverage
• Schedule: Weekday inpatient consultation coverage, typically
• On Call: Not required
• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 10 days
• Board Status: Board certified or board certification eligible required

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in radiation oncology
• Active physician license and ability to practice on-site in Pennsylvania
• Board certified or board eligible in radiation oncology or the appropriate specialty
• Completion of fellowship training preferred
• Required certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, and BLS
• Strong knowledge of radiation treatment planning, oncology care, and patient management
• Experience with inpatient consultation and outpatient follow-up visits

Responsibilities

• Provide radiation oncology coverage during scheduled dates and on-site hours
• Conduct new patient consults, follow-up visits, and treatment planning
• Oversee scheduled radiation treatments and remain available on-site while treatments are being delivered
• Round on and consult with inpatients as needed
• Document patient contact hours accurately and thoroughly
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality oncology care
• Manage occasional emergent consultation needs if they arise
• Apply advanced radiation oncology techniques as appropriate, including IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, SRS, and other related modalities
