Pharmacist in Carl Junction, MO

This opportunity is for experienced pharmacists to support a 400-bed hospital in Joplin, MO, affiliated with a major health system. The role involves providing essential pharmacy services in a dynamic hospital environment, ensuring accurate medication management and collaborating closely with healthcare teams.


Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and process medication orders accurately and efficiently.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain smooth operational workflow.
• Consult with nurses, physicians, and other clinical staff to optimize patient medication therapies.
• Utilize hospital IT systems, including EPIC and Pyxis, to manage prescriptions and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with active credentials.
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Skilled in order verification and tech supervision.
• Comfortable using EPIC and Pyxis systems.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with medical staff and patients.

Schedule:

• Variable days and afternoons.
• Four 10-hour shifts per week.
