Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough crisis assessments for individuals experiencing acute mental health emergencies, employing evidence-based crisis intervention techniques. Provide immediate counseling support to clients in distress, utilizing your clinical skills to de-escalate crises and ensure safety. Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders to coordinate care, safeguarding client welfare during emergencies. Develop personalized crisis intervention plans and provide continuous follow-up care, ensuring clients receive ongoing support and appropriate referrals. Stay current with crisis counseling methodologies through ongoing professional development and training sessions. Utilize telehealth technology to connect with clients, manage schedules, and document progress effectively, adhering to ethical standards in mental health practice. Patient Population / Client Focus Your role will primarily focus on individuals grappling with addiction issues or those in the midst of emotional crises, including trauma intervention and suicide prevention. The diverse backgrounds and experiences of our clients mean that you will engage with a wide array of challenges, demanding cultural sensitivity and an empathetic approach. Your ability to connect meaningfully with clients will be essential in fostering a supportive therapeutic relationship. Qualifications A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution. A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential. A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in crisis intervention and mental health counseling, specifically with individuals facing acute psychological distress. Additional training in trauma-informed care and crisis counseling is highly desirable. Ability to utilize evidence-based interventions effectively in crisis situations. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and contributions to the organization.
