Program Manager – Wayzata Kids School Age Childcare Location: District Service Center Position type: Unaffiliated, Level 4. Hours: 8 hours per day, 52 weeks per year. Salary: $95,630 per year. Position Description We are looking for a dynamic and organized Wayzata Kids Program Manager to oversee the operations of our nine locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in school age childcare, proven leadership skills, and a genuine commitment to providing a safe and enriching experience for children. Wayzata Kids is a high quality childcare program part of the Wayzata Community Education program that provides childcare to students in grades K-5 before school, after-school, on days where this is no school, and in the summer. We provide a choice-based environment where children can grow, build friendships, and develop their social skills under the supervision of nurturing caregivers. This is a year-round position that reports to the Assistant Director of Youth Programs. Hours are flexible, but most will include late afternoons for site visits. Responsibilities The Wayzata Kids Program Manager supervises nine Site Managers, three Inclusion Specialists, and the Community Education Nurse. Design, supervise and maintain a safe, positive environment which meets the physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs of the children in an inclusive setting. Develop and distribute Wayzata Kids promotions and communications to staff, parents, building admin pros and elementary principals. Maintain accountability in all aspects of the program, complying with standards and certification guidelines. Recruit, hire, evaluate, supervise and dismiss program staff. Manage staff with weekly communication and regular site visits. Communicate regularly with parents. Represent Wayzata Kids on district-wide committees. Benefits A fun, fast-paced work environment.
