Salary: Teacher Salary Scale *Negotiable (Employees will receive 5% below the negotiated pay rate during their probationary status.)

Responsible To: Special Education Coordinator

Summary: Teach students who qualify for Special Education services and evaluate referred students. Develop individual student educational plans, conduct IEP meetings, and teach qualified students. Coordinate the screening process involving health, academic, social, and emotional tests and work closely with the Special Education Coordinator and Special Education Co Teacher. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants please clearly state how you meet these qualifications on the application/resume.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Education
• A Wisconsin State License in one of the following or ability to obtain in the first year of employment.:

a. Learning Disabilities (7-12)

b. Cross Categorical (7-12)

• Must attach an Investigative Questionnaire for a Child contact Position with application
• Must provide a copy of school transcripts with application.
• Copies of certifications/license document or letter from accredited college or university stating that you have completed the program and have applied for your license.
• Four (4) letters of references:

Letters from current and or previous employers.

Letters need to be current (within with the last 4 years).

Letters need to contain information related to previous schoolwork experience.
