American Girl Merchandise Stock Associate- Part Time seasonal

Opportunity The American Girl Washington, DC retail store (McLean, VA) is looking for a Seasonal Part‑Time Stock Handler to support back‑of‑house operations. The role includes unloading and loading inbound/outbound trailers, maintaining sales‑floor stock levels, organizing back‑of‑house areas, and ensuring supplies are on hand. Responsibilities Process incoming stock shipments safely and orderly; maintain stockroom standards for merchandise placement, cleanliness, and safety. Pack up and load trailers with returning merchandise (returns, rework, and doll hospital). Maintain stock on the sales floor, including special requests from retail partners; monitor stock levels on an ongoing basis and fill in as necessary while adhering to visual standards. Assist in general execution of retail business, including floor moves, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with other store personnel to provide a safe environment for customers and employees. Perform special projects as requested. Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing tasks to meet the needs of the business. Qualifications 6 months to 1 year of experience in retail or service industry, preferably in material handling, shipping, receiving, retail, or warehouse stock handling. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Must be friendly, approachable, and willing to offer assistance to a guest in a respectful manner, especially children. Must be available to work open and close shifts, weekends, and holidays.
