Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Experienced Pediatric Physician Assistant

The Advanced Practice Provideris responsible forproviding high level quality medical care to a variety of patients in a private, multi-location pediatric practice. This is an hourly paid position. Qualifications: Must have the following competencies: Integrity Leadership Professionalism Initiative Excellent Interpersonal Skills Confidentiality Customer/Patient Focus Time Management Decision Making Communication Proficiency Organizational Skills High Energy Level Self-Confidence Compassion Education, Licensure, & Certification Requirements: Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas and hold a current certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a nationally recognized certifying body (Pediatric Nursing Certification Board or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board) Physician Assistant (PA) must be licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board and hold a current certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants and have experience in pediatrics/primary care APN and PA must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Experience Requirements: Three (3)+years experiencein a pediatric setting preferred but not required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: Thorough knowledge of medical terminology preferred Knowledge of medical billing coding, including CPT and ICD-10 coding,required Ability to follow or provide verbal & written instructions with sufficient grammar and spelling skills to avoid mistakes or misinterpretations Interpersonal skills to support customer service.
