Position Overview
Seeking a Board Certified Radiation Oncologist to provide outpatient coverage during a maternity leave assignment. The provider will manage radiation oncology patients, participate in multidisciplinary care, and work closely with the oncology team in a hospital-based outpatient cancer center.
Compensation:
Hourly: $250/hr
Overtime: $370/hr
Schedule
Coverage Dates: October 1, 2026 February 28, 2027
2 3 days per week (Monday Wednesday)
7:00 AM 4:00 PM
No call required
Holiday coverage required
Practice Setting
Hospital-Based Outpatient Cancer Center
Outpatient only
Adult patient population
Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat radiation oncology patients
Participate in tumor boards for assigned patients
Utilize Varian treatment equipment (preferred)
Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology team
Document patient care in ARIA and Epic
Practice Details
patients per day (higher volume on treatment visit days)
Linear accelerators located onsite
Support staff includes RN and Medical Assistant
Onsite physics, dosimetry, and radiation therapists
EMR
ARIA (radiation treatment)
Epic (clinical documentation)
Requirements
Board Certified in Radiation Oncology
Active South Carolina license preferred
BLS certification
Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation
Additional Information
Temporary privileges are available.
Estimated credentialing timeframe is days.
Travel reimbursement is available in accordance with facility guidelines.
