Neuroradiologist University of Michigan – Faculty of Radiology Job Summary The Department of Radiology is recruiting a fellowship-trained neuroradiologist with high integrity and a strong commitment to professionalism to join our faculty at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate Professor, or Professor level. Our growing and diverse practice offers the breadth, depth, and scale for faculty at any career stage, from clinician‑educator to clinician‑scientist. We emphasize mentorship, career and leadership development. The Neuroradiology Division performs and interprets the full gamut of diagnostic examinations and procedures—CT, MRI, myelography, lumbar punctures, and biopsies—in the outpatient, inpatient, and ER settings. The neurointerventional radiology team is based in the Division and comprises two radiologists and two neurosurgeons. Our training programs include six neuroradiology fellows, occasional second‑year fellows, and a neurointerventional radiology fellow. The Department is equipped with 17 MR scanners (including an intraoperative unit, 3T, 1.5T, and 0.55T), 18 CT scanners (GE VCT 64, Revolution, Frontier, Discovery HD 750, Siemens Force, a portable scanner for the neuro ICU, a dental scanner, and two photon‑counting scanners), three neuroangiographic suites (CT biplane, biplane, and single‑plane units), and a new inpatient building opening in November 2025 with additional scanners. The University of Michigan Medical School has the largest group of health services researchers in the United States and an excellent Faculty Development Program. Responsibilities Teach a spectrum of learners—medical students, residents, fellows, and colleagues—across clinical, translational, and basic science research. Participate in ongoing research programs partnered with the Basic Sciences Division and colleagues across Michigan Medicine and the University of Michigan campus. Engage in close collaborations with Neurology, Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and Radiation Oncology, contributing to more than 20 interdisciplinary conferences weekly, including teaching conferences, tumor boards, and clinical working conferences. Strive to be a leader in clinical care, research, and education. Required Qualifications • M.D. or equivalent, ABR‑certified. • Passed the core examination and on track to take the certifying examination within 15 months of completing residency. • ACGME‑accredited fellowship training in neuroradiology. • Ability to obtain a medical license in the State of Michigan. • Evidence of clinical competence and teaching competence. • Preference for candidates with two years of fellowship training (though not mandatory).
