The Lead HVAC Technician oversees the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across residential, commercial, or institutional facilities. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality service delivery and team performance.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Maintenance Helper supports the maintenance team by performing routine tasks that ensure the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of buildings, grounds, and equipment. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals with basic mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn multiple trades.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with basic repairs in plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical systems.Perform routine cleaning and upkeep tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing filters, and unclogging drains.Move, assemble, and install furniture, fixtures, and equipment as needed.Support senior technicians during inspections, installations, and emergency repairs.Maintain tools, supplies, and work areas in clean and safe condition.Document tasks completed and report issues to supervisors.Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE during all tasks.Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED – RequiredVocational training in building maintenance or general trades – PreferredExperience Requirements0–2 years of experience in general maintenance or facilities supportBasic knowledge of hand tools and maintenance proceduresPhysical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varied conditionsPreferred SkillsMechanical aptitude and willingness to learnGood communication and teamworkAbility to follow instructions and complete tasks independentlyInterest in growing into a skilled trade or technician roleOther duties may be assigned.Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
