Shipping & Receiving Manager – Hands-On Role

Pay 85-110K

We have partnered with a fast growing manufacturer for a hands-on Shipping & Receiving Manager to take ownership of daily material flow in a busy aluminum fabrication operation. You’ll be directly involved in receiving materials, coordinating shipments, managing inventory, working with carriers, and supporting the production team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the floor, solving problems, leading a small team, and keeping things moving.

What You’ll Do

Manage daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations
Receive and inspect aluminum, hardware, supplies, and other materials
Coordinate outbound shipments of finished products, including oversized and long aluminum fabrications
Prepare packing lists, bills of lading, shipping labels, and other documentation
Coordinate with freight carriers and select cost-effective shipping methods
Maintain inventory accuracy and perform cycle counts
Work closely with production, project management, and sales to keep projects on schedule
Supervise, train, and schedule shipping/receiving employees
Resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, and delivery issues
Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment
Keep the warehouse and shipping area safe, clean, and organized
Identify ways to improve efficiency, reduce damage, and control costs

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience
Forklift experience required
Manufacturing or fabrication experience is a plus
Strong freight/carrier and inventory experience
Comfortable using ERP/inventory systems, shipping software, Excel, and Outlook
Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
Able to read packing lists, purchase orders, and basic shop documentation
