Interim Tax Compliance Specialist

Vaco has partnered with a growing organization that is seeking an Interim Tax Compliance Specialist to support sales and use tax compliance functions. This role is ideal for a candidate with hands-on multi-state sales & use tax experience who can workindependently and help support the internal team.

Job Title: InterimTax Compliance Specialist
Location: Phoenix, AZ (remote- AZ candidates strongly preferred)
Pay Rate:$50-70per hour
Project Duration:3-6months

Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare sales and use tax returns using workpapers built from downloads out of Sage Intacct

• Research and prepare use tax analysis workpapers and report sales tax via online portals

• Support multi-state filing acrossseveral statesand Tribaljurisdictions

• Work independentlyinafast-paced, high-volumeenvironment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldrequired

• Strong understanding of sales & use tax compliance in AZ and CA

• Experience in construction industry strongly preferred

• Proficiencyin Excelrequired
