Job Title
Salary: $15.00/hour (Non-bargaining unit position)
Summary of Duties and Functions: Accept directions and suggestions from immediate supervisor. Supervise large and small groups of children in an afterschool environment, independently and as part of a team. Ensure the safety of students at all times. Assist the program leader in planning the program and environment. Lead students in developmentally appropriate activities as assigned. Assist in the maintenance of records, charts, and complete other clerical work as assigned using current computer hardware and software. Communicate with students and families in a professional manner. Attend required in-services training sessions.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Qualities to Perform Essential Functions: At least eighteen years of age. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Have a minimum of five hundred hours of related experience. Certification in CPR and First Aid preferred. Hold and maintain a good attendance record. Demonstrate appropriate decision-making skills and good judgment in both routine and stressful situations. Proficiency in reading, math, oral and written communications. Must pass a physical examination. Remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.
