Event Operations Supervisor (Waste & Recycling) We are seeking an Event Operations Supervisor to lead post-event waste and recycling operations at the Rose Quarter in Portland, with potential future opportunities across additional major venues. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for overseeing cleanup crews after concerts, sporting events, and large-scale entertainment events. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and comfortable leading teams in a fast‑paced, overnight environment. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Supervise and support 1012 event staff per shift Assign tasks and ensure efficient completion of cleanup operations Monitor attendance, performance, and adherence to site expectations Provide on-the-ground leadership and issue resolution during shifts Event Cleanup Operations: Oversee sorting of trash, recycling, and compost materials Ensure proper handling and organization of all waste streams Support operations at Rose Quarter and Veterans Memorial Coliseum Timekeeping & Reporting: Verify employee attendance and work hours Manage manual time sheets and photo-based verification Submit accurate records for payroll and client invoicing On-Site Coordination: Act as primary point of contact during assigned shifts Communicate with management and staffing partners as needed Assist with staffing coordination for upcoming events Schedule This is an event-based role with a flexible schedule tied to venue activity.
