Job Title: Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney

Pay Rate: DOE (2-4 years = $130K-160K, 5-7 years = $160K -$180K, 8-10 years = $180K-200K) plus excellent benefits and 401K

Location: Hybrid ( 90% remote, 10% in-person in office: Orange County, Los Angeles, Westlake Village, Ontario, San Diego, Sacramento, Oakland, Redding, San Jose, or Fresno)

We are looking for a Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney

We are partnering with a highly reputable California-based law firm specializing in workers’ compensation defense. This is a hybrid role with some travel required for hearings, depositions, and occasional office meetings.

Responsibility :

• Manage the full lifecycle of workers’ compensation defense cases from inception through resolution
• Represent clients at hearings, depositions, and court appearances
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic guidance to clients
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Handle discovery, litigation, and case strategy
• Negotiate settlements effectively and ethically
• Collaborate with insurance carriers, employers, and third-party administrators (TPAs)
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with internal processes
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active member of the California State Bar (required)
• 2+ years of workers’ compensation defense experience preferred
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to manage cases proactively and independently
• Comfortable working with legal technology and case management tools
