Physician Psychiatry - Competitive Salary

Job Description Deaconess Kentucky Specialty Clinic is seeking a highly motivated Outpatient Psychiatrist to help grow outpatient behavioral health services in Hopkinsville, KY. This role offers strong clinical and administrative support in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Compensation & Benefits: Year 1 guaranteed base salary: $350,000 Sign-on bonus: $75,000 Additional earning potential: Psychiatrists typically earn $400,000–$500,000 based on productivity Comprehensive benefits package Relocation assistance CME allowance Practice Setting: This outpatient role focuses on psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and ongoing treatment in a team-based setting that includes: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) Licensed therapists providing individual outpatient services Key Responsibilities: Perform psychiatric assessments and diagnose mental health conditions Develop and manage individualized treatment plans Provide medication management and follow-up care Collaborate with PMHNPs, therapists, and nursing staff Supervise PMHNPs as needed Provide co-signatures for therapists Maintain accurate EMR documentation Participate in case conferences and quality initiatives Follow ethical, legal, and regulatory standards Call Responsibilities: Jennie Stuart Medical Center operates a 12-bed adult inpatient behavioral health unit. Weeknight call: approx. once every 2 weeks (5:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.) Weekend call: approx. 1 in 6 weekends Duties include intake triage, admission orders, and inpatient rounding on weekends Qualifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (MD or DO) Eligible for Kentucky medical licensure Outpatient psychiatry experience preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Why Join Deaconess: Join a growing behavioral health program with strong leadership support and a collaborative care model.
