Certified Medical Assistant

Job TitleCoordinates clinic operations and assist providers by performing vital signs, patient questionnaire intake, data entry and medical records management. Assists with and provides patient care services and customer services as necessary. Maintains all patient care related documentation in hard copy and/or electronic medical records. Must demonstrate skill in clinical duties such as vitals, health history and other clinical duties as directed by clinicians. Possesses time management skills and the ability to manage and perform multiple tasks and assist patients and providers as necessary.Minimum RequirementsAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) CertificationHigh School, equivalent or higher is requiredOne of the following certifications is required:Certified Medical Assistant through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)Registered Medical Assistant through the American Medical Technologists (AMT)Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcare Career Association (NHA) + either 2 years of experience or graduation from an in-person formal training programPreferred one or more years experience in a clinical or medical office setting.Pay Range$18.00 - $24.74Other InformationFull time with benefits - 36 hours per weekDay shift: Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am - 12:00 pmNo weekends or on callMust be board certified through AAMA, AMT or NHAECU Health Physicians is multi-specialty group with over 600 providers in more than 140 primary and specialty clinics across more than 110 locations in eastern North Carolina.It is the goal of ECU Health and its entities to employ the most qualified individual who best matches the requirements for the vacant position.
