Job Details Type: Travel Registered Nurse / Travel RN Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Setting: Acute Care Hospital, Level 1 Trauma Center Shift: 12-hour nights Schedule: 36 hours per week, every other weekend, every other holiday Duration: 13 weeks Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,560 - $2,700 Charting System: Epic Location: Peoria, IL 61637 Job Requirements Active RN license Minimum of 2 years of recent CVICU, ICU, or critical care nursing experience strongly preferred BLS required ACLS preferred CCRN certification a plus Comfortable caring for high-acuity cardiovascular, post-surgical, and intensive care patients Ability to independently interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry strips Experience with titratable drips, ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and invasive hemodynamic monitoring preferred Strong critical thinking, communication, organization, and teamwork skills Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced ICU setting Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to CVICU patients with complex cardiac and post-operative needs Monitor and manage patients requiring ventilator support, invasive lines, and advanced cardiovascular monitoring Titrate and manage multiple drips according to protocol and provider orders Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond quickly to changes in patient condition Care for patients requiring temporary pacing, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced ICU interventions Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team Float to other levels of care as needed and support full-team assignments Maintain accurate documentation and deliver safe, compassionate patient care at all times If you are an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse seeking travel nursing jobs in Peoria, Illinois, apply now and join a team committed to excellent cardiac patient care.
