Part Time Radiologist

510 East 62nd Street, New York, NY 10065 The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center (AMC) is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible veterinary radiologist to join our expanding Department of Diagnostic Imaging part‑time. The pay range reflected below is the pay range for a full‑time radiologist; this part‑time position will be paid pro rata based on that full‑time salary range. Key clinical tools include QMed RIS, Mach7/eUnity PACS, and voice recognition for streamlined workflows. Qualifications A board‑certified or board‑eligible veterinarian in the American College of Veterinary Radiology or European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging is required. The candidate must have or be able to obtain a license to practice veterinary medicine in the State of New York. Strong interest and clinical competence in small animal radiology, diagnostic ultrasound, CT, and MRI are required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as teamwork in a collegial teaching environment are essential. Clinical and Service Responsibilities Duties include performing and interpreting diagnostic imaging studies for the teaching hospital and referral veterinarians. The schedule is 4 days per week, with one work‑from‑home day; some weekend work is expected. Service responsibilities may also include institutional committee work, continuing education, and contributions to professional organizations. Teaching and Research Clinical teaching involves instructing and supervising interns and residents in internal medicine, critical care, and surgery. Participation in research is encouraged with many opportunities at AMC and through the broader biomedical community of New York City. Teaching duties focus on resident training and preparation for the ACVR board exam, and collaboration with the Bronx Zoo is common.
