As a Production Scheduler in the metals fabrication industry, you will monitor forecasts and materials to produce schedules that will allow customer orders to be filled on time.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesMaintain production planning and scheduling integrity with a 99% level of record accuracyBuild and maintain production schedules to support demand from various customersProvide support for manufacturing, as well as for internal and external customersDevelop, maintain, and communicate policies, procedures, and operating guidelines for the planning, scheduling and sequencing for all operationsMonitor the product supply and demand report to identify and correct any supply shortages, as well as to eliminate unnecessary inventoryAssist operations managers and order processors to set and control production priorities to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction in meeting promised datesProvide authorization to all approved expedite requests, changes, and updates to production and plans for customer commitmentsMaintain stocking levels via manufacturing Kanbans/minimum quantities for inventory hedgesQualifications3-5 years of production planning and inventory management experience requiredExceptional technical skills, including solid load leveling and expediting techniques, inventory management, and lean Kanban managementRelated manufacturing experience and sheet metal fabrication experience is a plusStrong communication skills in order to collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Production and potentially customersAbility to build and adjust production schedules to accommodate material availability, equipment failures, alternate routings, changing customer demands, rework needs, and morePrevious experience in a contract manufacturing world or an OEM with many different products preferredPrevious experience with M1 or Epicor preferredLake Air Products Offers:Competitive PayFull Benefits401(k) Employer MatchPaid Time Off (PTO) and Holiday PayGym ReimbursementTuition ReimbursementPlease note that this position may require travel to our (location) facility and may be subject to export control regulations.
