$12.00 to $15.00 per hour We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process! The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire store staff to provide customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and helps with customer inquiries and problem resolution. Position Summary The Full‑time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. The actual pay is determined by location, qualifications, and experience. Responsibilities Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions. Performs non‑management open/close procedures. Maintains a clean, well‑stocked sales floor and displays merchandise. Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Handles all cash and negotiable items in compliance with established policies. Responds to incoming calls per company standards. Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers. Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools. Collaborates with all employees to create a positive customer experience. Successfully completes assigned training. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified. If required, may assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from external storage areas. Minimum age: 18 years. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency in basic math calculations. Cash handling experience preferred. Willingness to work in multiple locations as needed. Willingness to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays. Computer‑literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines. Commission Plan Information The commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance.
