Maintenance Technician

Normandy Woods, 695 Normandy Street, Houston, Texas, United States of America Job Description Fogelman is hiring a Certified Maintenance Technician for Normandy Woods Apartments, located in the Houston area. The role involves maintaining buildings and grounds, completing service requests, and ensuring resident satisfaction. Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing maintenance service requests and repairs to the buildings and grounds as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor while providing excellent customer service to our residents. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Complete all service requests and make‑ready units. Maintain care, inventory, and supplies for property equipment. Provide personal tools and keep work area clean. Assist with preventive maintenance projects. Escalate unresolved issues to the Service Director. Participate in on‑call rotation and respond to emergency calls. Communicate positively with residents, vendors, and coworkers. Operate within company safety policies and Fair Housing rules. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Three years of experience in apartment maintenance. HVAC certification (Type 1 & 2 or Universal). Proficiency in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliance repair. Computer proficiency and familiarity with systems such as Yardi, Entrata, and HappyCo. Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance may be required. Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred. Environmental and Physical Demands Constant walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, squatting, pushing/pulling, reaching above shoulders. Frequently lift or move up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift more. Strong hand dexterity and sensory skills (good eyesight, hearing). Work indoors and outdoors under varying weather conditions.
