Employment Litigation Associate (5-7 Years)

Salary: $275K – $315K

Hybrid Schedule: 2 remote days per week

Job Summary:

National Law Firm is seeking a mid-level Employment Associate with 5-7 years of experience to advise employers on workplace compliance issues and represent clients in a wide range of employment disputes. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys a mix of counseling, drafting, and litigation responsibilities.

What You'll Do:

• Advise employers on employment law compliance, risk management, and workplace best practices.
• Draft employee handbooks, policies, and employment-related agreements.
• Counsel clients on wage and hour compliance, paid sick leave, discrimination, retaliation, and emerging workplace issues, including AI-related employment concerns.
• Represent employers in state and federal court litigation, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative proceedings.
• Prepare and argue motions, conduct depositions, manage discovery, and develop case strategy.
• Draft responses to agency charges and position statements before federal and state agencies.
• Conduct witness interviews and workplace investigations.
• Draft and negotiate employment contracts, restrictive covenant agreements, and severance agreements.

What You'll Bring:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice in New York.
• 5-7 years of employment law counseling and litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience advising employers on federal, state, and local employment law compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills and a practical, client-focused approach.
