School Bus Driver TeachIowa Keokuk Comm School District - Keokuk, Iowa Job Details Job ID: 5775943 Application Deadline: May 05, 2027 4:59 AM (UTC) Posted: Jun 11, 2026 12:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Aug 24, 2026 Job Description Responsibilities: Safely operate a bus or other passenger vehicle to transport passengers to their destinations Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of passengers Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, securing belongings, and answering questions Communicate effectively with passengers, providing clear instructions and information Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of passengers and other road users Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition Maintain cleanliness of the bus interior, including regular cleaning and sanitizing Experience: Previous experience as a bus driver, delivery driver, shuttle driver, van driver, or limousine driver is preferred Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with passengers Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
