Surgical Technologist

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced OR Surgical Technician with strong knowledge of operating room procedures, instrumentation, and workflows across multiple surgical service lines. The role involves supporting surgical teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterilized and ready
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile technique
• Set up and manage surgical instrumentation specific to each case
• Ensure proper handling and organization of surgical tools before, during, and after procedures
• Anticipate surgeon needs and respond promptly during operations
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety, and sterile protocols

Support multiple surgical specialties including:

• Orthopedic Joint
• Gynecology (GYN)
• ENT (Pediatric & Adult)
• Plastics
• General Surgery
• Pain Management
• Interventional Radiology (IR – Port Insertions)
• Assist with post-procedure cleanup and instrument handling
• Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and OR staff to ensure smooth workflow

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a Scrub Tech / Surgical Technician across multiple service lines
• Strong knowledge of OR instrumentation and surgical procedures
• High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Certification Requirements

• Surgical Technician Certification required for candidates trained after 2018
• Candidates trained prior to 2018 may be considered without certification (grandfathered)
