Watch Technician

Watch Technician The Watch Technician's key areas of responsibility include the authentication, diagnostics, and repair of quartz. This position will authenticate and service watches within our e-commerce centers and communication across multiple internal teams to execute a seamless consignor experience and a frictionless production pipeline. Daily Responsibilities Identify all quartz watches (watch brand, watch model, movement brand, movement model) Open and close all types of watch cases without damaging them Diagnose quartz movement issues Change batteries and gaskets Replace coils/circuits in quartz movements Replace complete quartz movements Calibrate chronograph and other complication indicators to original factory settings in quartz watches Perform pressure test on all watch types Perform timing measurements on all watch types Demagnetize all watch types Authenticate quartz watches across all brands Clean external components of all non-leather-strap watches (case, crystal, bracelet) using appropriate method, including ultrasonic solution/machine and steamer Perform any additional daily tasks as directed by supervisor Required Skills Minimum Requirements: 3-5 years of experience servicing quartz timepieces Excellent hand-eye coordination Perfect vision (natural or corrected) Ability to execute on communication systems Adept at working with, and open to learning new technology solutions to increase productivity and efficiency Polished in verbal and written communication Ability to handle multiple complex, time sensitive situations Understanding of daily quotas, deadlines Ability to work within specific process constraints Preferred Requirements: Brand certification from major watch brand Disassembling and overhauling mechanical/automatic movements Polishing cases and bracelets Compensation, Benefits, + Perks $50 in monthly food credits to apply to snacks and meals that are available for purchase on site Employee Stock Purchase Plan 401K with Company Match Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Paid parental leave 9 Paid Company Holidays 18 Paid Time Off (PTO) Days (PTO starts accruing on first day of work) State of the art, climate-controlled warehouse facility The RealReal is the world's largest online marketplace for authenticated, resale luxury goods, with 40 million members.
