Lead Software Engineer - React

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Drive architectural decisions for distributed systems, event-driven pipelines, CQRS patterns, and real-time data streaming.
- Collaborate with UX designers, product owners, and backend teams to deliver intuitive interfaces and scalable, reusable APIs.
- Automate recurring issue remediation and improve application and system operational stability.
- Lead vendor, startup, and internal technical evaluation sessions focused on architecture and technology applicability.
- Lead Software Engineering communities of practice and promote new technologies and reusable engineering patterns.
- Establish team standards for responsible, secure, and validated use of AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and refactoring tools.
- Apply software development lifecycle automation capabilities to improve delivery outcomes.
Requirements
- A formal degree or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience developing user interfaces, including hands-on React experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, debugging, and operational stability.
- Advanced understanding of application resiliency, security, software development lifecycles, and cloud-native engineering practices.
- Experience with automated testing in a commercial setting, such as React Testing Library or Cypress.
- Experience collaborating with backend teams to design scalable and reusable RESTful APIs.
- Experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- In-depth knowledge of financial services industry IT systems.
- Preferred experience with ag-grid, Highcharts, Redux, TypeScript, complex UI performance tuning, Investment Bank or Finance Technology, team management, DevOps, Kubernetes, and cloud autoscaling infrastructure.
