Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our modern surgical center, where you will work alongside a collaborative team of physicians, nurses, and health professionals. The center is designed to support a high volume of patients, and you will often engage in a dynamic working environment characterized by teamwork and a commitment to patient health. Regular operational hours are Monday through Friday, with a 5:00 PM shift start time to accommodate patients seeking care after typical office hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and review patient medical histories to inform diagnostic and treatment decisions.
• Order, interpret, and communicate results of diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and imaging studies, to support effective patient management.
• Diagnose and treat a range of acute medical conditions and illnesses, implementing evidence-based treatment protocols.
• Develop, document, and execute individualized treatment plans for patients with chronic health conditions, ensuring continuity of care.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and monitor their effectiveness, making adjustments based on patient feedback and clinical guidelines.
• Maintain meticulous patient records to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families regarding disease prevention, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Actively participate in continuous professional development and engage in relevant research to remain updated on best practices in urgent care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Urgent Care Physician Assistant will work with a diverse patient population that includes children, adults, and seniors experiencing acute medical issues. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• A valid State Physician Assistant license and an active DEA registration.

• Strong understanding of primary care and acute care medicine, including relevant clinical guidelines and patient care regulations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective interactions with patients and healthcare colleagues.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
