Registered Nurse - Spinal Cord Injury

Job Title

Responsibilities of the incumbent in this position include but are not limited to:

• Managing the day to day needs of an acutely ill patient population with spinal cord injuries/disorders (SCI/D)
• Fostering a safe and supportive environment conducive to the professional development of healthcare professionals.
• Medication administration and documentation
• Collaborative practice with interdisciplinary SCI/D team
• Application of principles of rehabilitation nursing care to promote the highest level of functional independence
• Assisting in directing the provision of nursing education, orientation, competencies and providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization consultation.
• When appropriate, serve as the CCICM Lead Coordinator, acting as the primary point of contact for Veterans with moderate to complex care coordination needs and ensuring the delivery of seamless, integrated care across VA services, care settings, and episodes of care.

NOTE: This position potentially requires flexibility in schedule and assignments.

Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards

Paid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)

Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory

Work Schedule: 0730-1600 & 0730-2000, off tour rotations, weekends & holidays
