Program Director Barre Area Senior Center – Barre, VT, United States Salary: $28 per hour Position: Program Director Responsibilities Recruit, train, coordinate, support, evaluate, and maintain documentation for all volunteers. Recruit, schedule, and support activity and program leaders, instructors, and presenters to align with member interests and needs. Develop, implement, and manage a wide variety of programs, activities, and events. Create and maintain accurate records of all programs, including attendance and participation data. Design and implement registration procedures for programs and events. Develop engaging activity descriptions and promotional materials, including flyers. Collaborate on the creation and distribution of the monthly newsletter. Utilize new technologies to strengthen partnerships and expand program opportunities. Manage program development within an approved budget to maximize participation and impact. Ensure the front desk is staffed to provide a friendly, welcoming, and helpful environment for all visitors. Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for members, volunteers, and staff. Qualifications Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records. Experience working with and supporting a diverse group of volunteers and program leaders. Self‑motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Comfortable using technology to support programming, communication, and outreach, including Google Workspace, Canva, and social media platforms. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Experience in program coordination, community engagement, or senior services.
