We are proud to offer a progressive, vibrant organization where you can advance your career, master your skills, and grow alongside us.The Shipping Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe operating and managing of industrial equipment to load, unload and move product and packaging, from storage areas, machines and loading docks. The prime function of the role is to support the supply chain through the unloading of trucks for all incoming product and packaging material and accurately count and document shipments.Responsibilities:Operate forklift or other hand truck activities, to stage, count, sort, wrap finished product and move shipments of product and packaging materialExamine incoming shipment contents and compare with records to verify accuracy and quality of shipment; place shipment to designated location; rotate and organize inventory per company procedures, using FIFO methodInspect and load outbound shipments; check contents and compare with records to verify accuracy and quality of shipment, place shipment on designated truck for delivery to customerCommunicate frequently with Warehouse Supervisor, report quality issues, damage, shortages of product or packagingMaintain a clean work area; remove empty and damage pallets, wood, and plasticDaily inspection of assigned forklift or other material handling equipment; report damages or mechanical issues to personnel with authorityComply with SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety, Health and Safety, and company policies and procedures; ensure standards consistently meet expectationsOther core expectations as defined by the company.Qualifications:Secondary School Diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum two (2) years forklift experience required; Forklift Certification preferredKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Health and Safety, Food Safety preferredSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a teamCommitment to adhere to all security and safety procedures; excellent driving skills and the ability to show good judgementProven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate keen attention to detail and task-related accuracy, as well as consistent follow-through skillsAbility to remain focused for extended periods of time and react quickly in emergency situationsProficient in English communication; oral, written and readingSteel toed shoes are requiredWork Environment:Hours of work may vary depending on business needs; Flexibility requiredThis job operates in a refrigerated warehouse, where temperatures range from 45-55°F.
