About the Position

Job Title: GI/Endoscopy RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: GI/Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Days (4x10 variable day shifts, with call) Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: Previous GI experience is required Description: The position involves the intraprocedural care of patients. Duties include charting and cleaning tools and scopes. Common cases include colonoscopy, EUS, ERCP, bronchoscopies, and others. Self-scheduling is allowed, balanced to meet unit needs. The position requires one night shift call per week. Weekend call is required once every 5 weeks. Holiday call may also be required. Call response time is expected to be within 30 minutes. Floating to other areas may be required. Scrubs will be provided by the facility. Specific orientation will be provided for the unit. On certain days, pulmonary cases will be performed. The facility can cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment. Charting will be managed through an electronic system. This is an acute care setting in a trauma level 1 environment.
