- Pay Rate: $55.00 / Hour (USD)
- Shift / Schedule: Nights, 18:45–07:15 (3×12 Hours); every other weekend required

Job Summary
This is a Labor and Delivery travel nursing position at an LDRP Unit providing Couplet Care with ratios of 1:4. The unit follows a self-scheduling model and requires travelers with prior Labor and Delivery experience. Nurses on this unit will float to assist other units as needed, but will not take assignments on those units.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care on an LDRP Unit with Couplet Care ratios of 1:4
- Assist with sterile speculum exams including assessment of effacement, dilation, station, and presentation
- Utilize External Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM)
- Utilize both External and Internal Fetal Monitoring
- Recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Provide breastfeeding and lactation support
- Float to assist other units as needed (not to take assignments)
- Fulfill mandatory call shifts: 2 mandatory call shifts per 6-week schedule
- Work every other weekend as required
- Document and communicate using EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR systems
Required Skills
- LDRP experience
- Mother/Baby experience
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) skills
- Fetal Monitoring (External and Internal)
- Breastfeeding/lactation assistance
- Traveler experience required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Proficiency with EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR unit systems
Preferred Skills
- EPIC (listed as preferred)
Education Requirements
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) certification required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Active RN License required
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Night shift: 18:45–07:15 (3×12-hour shifts)
- Call requirement: 2 mandatory call shifts per 6-week schedule
- Float requirement: Will float to assist other units (not to take assignments)
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Scrubs: Cecil blue hospital-issued scrubs; navy scrubs also accepted
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Unit orientation: 32 hours
