The Operations Manager owns site P&L (Budget, POR, Growth & Profit Plan) and is responsible for optimizing business performance through effective management of resources and operations. Operational oversight includes, but is not limited to: safety, quality, production, maintenance, labor and employee relations, and other production-related activities as well as coordinating with the Impact Partner to meet or exceed customer requests. The Operations Manager owns site P&L (Budget, POR, Growth & Profit Plan) and is responsible for optimizing business performance through effective management of resources and operations. Operational oversight includes, but is not limited to: safety, quality, production, maintenance, labor and employee relations, and other production-related activities as well as coordinating with the Impact Partner to meet or exceed customer requests. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be Expected to support the achievement of the following critical success factors: safety, quality, delivery/lead-time, cost and inventory management. Drive safety as the #1 value throughout the organization. Lead operations teams to support the overall production schedules needed to meet customer demands for parts and product. Able to accurately forecast and clearly communicate variance for site(s) P&L. Manage and align workforce resources to appropriately support large, incline field machining for Impact Partners and business, as needed. Strategically manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of competing orders. Proactively solve and prevent production challenges due unforeseen machine downtime, tooling constraints, and material availability. Reduce lead times through set-up reduction and process improvement efficiencies. Support continuous improvement projects and initiatives. Participate in strategic planning to set annual and long-range priorities to meet company goals and objectives. Support the implementation of new technology, processes, and procedures. Develop skills and abilities of direct reports, including leadership skills. Provide manufacturing support to groups outside of operations such Engineering, Materials, Sales, Service, or Suppliers. Who You Are: You serve as a strategic partner to build, grow, and maintain profitable and long-lasting relationships with key accounts. Communicate regularly to stakeholders; ensuring understanding and commitment to goals, initiatives and directives. You create and implement plans that allocate resources precisely. You model and encourage the expression of diverse ideas and opinions. Create a positive work environment through effective communication. Present to and communicate with all levels of the organization. For this Role, You Will Need: BS/BA in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain discipline, or 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree. Minimum of 5 years in progressive management or supervisory roles with direct reports. Must be able to lead in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Self-driven, dependable and accountable. Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Prior management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience leading leaders of teams.
