Licensed Electrical Contractor

Olson Construction & Remodeling is looking to hire an experienced Licensed Electrical Contractor to join our growing construction and remodeling operation. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the electrical side of our projects, work directly with our project managers, and provide high-quality, code-compliant work for our customers.

This is a great opportunity for an electrician who wants consistent work, a variety of projects, and the opportunity to grow with an established general contractor.

Position Responsibilities

• Perform residential electrical work for remodels, additions, garages, and new construction.
• Complete electrical rough-ins, service work, trim-outs, and final installations.
• Install and modify panels, circuits, lighting, outlets, switches, appliances, and other electrical systems.
• Review project plans and scopes to determine electrical requirements.
• Provide material and labor estimates for upcoming projects.
• Coordinate scheduling and project requirements with our project managers.
• Identify additional work or scope changes before proceeding so proper change orders can be completed.
• Coordinate electrical inspections and ensure work meets applicable electrical codes.
• Troubleshoot existing electrical systems and provide practical solutions.
• Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, subcontractors, inspectors, and the Olson Construction team.
• Help establish and maintain consistent electrical standards across our projects.

Qualifications

• Valid electrical contractor/master electrician licensing required or ability to meet applicable Minnesota licensing requirements.
• Strong residential electrical experience.
• Knowledge of current NEC and Minnesota electrical requirements.
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to accurately estimate labor and materials.
• Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple projects.
• Strong communication skills and professional appearance.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Our ideal candidate can be given a project scope, coordinate with the project manager, determine what needs to be done, and carry the electrical portion of the project through completion without requiring constant oversight.

Compensation

Competitive compensation based on experience, licensing, and capabilities.

Full-time position with consistent work throughout the year.
