Food Server

Server PositionAs a Server, you will serve food and beverages to customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner while ensuring a positive experience for all customers. Responsibilities include:Enthusiastically promoting a customer-centric culture of offering superior guest service and actively building long-lasting guest relationsServing customers as part of a team by anticipating their needs, initiating conversation, offering assistance and advice and remembering that "the customer is always right"Performing table set-up, running side work, and closing dutiesPossessing extensive knowledge of the restaurant's menu and wine list, including daily specialsChecking identification to ensure customers meet minimum age requirements for consuming alcoholic beveragesChecking identification to ensure customers are using players cards issued to them and no one elseRemoving items from table when customers have finished mealsComputing customer checks, operating the POS system and accepting paymentsReporting tips for each shiftMaintaining bar safety and sanitation standardsPossessing awareness of potential hazards, which could cause, but are not limited to, slipping, tripping, falling or burnsArriving for each shift on time and in full uniformAttending all pre-shift meetings ready to "listen and learn" and share ideasAvoiding leaving work area during peak periodsTaking breaks only when approved by the ManagerKeeping a clean and professional appearance at all timesPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Must be 21 years of age or olderMust be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming BoardMust be a high school graduate or equivalentMust have six months or more related experienceMust have open work availability to work nights, weekends, and holidaysCompensation:$9.00/hr plus tips
