As the detail-oriented and analytical Management Information Systems (MIS) Specialist based in Arlington, VA, you will collaborate with departments across the organization to ensure data accuracy, system functionality, and effective use of technology to support business objectives and be responsible for maintaining information systems, improving operational efficiency through technology solutions, generating reports, and supporting cross-functional business operations. Serco supports the organization’s technology infrastructure, business systems, and data reporting functions. Responsibilities Manage and maintain organizational information systems and databases Generate regular operational, financial, and performance reports Analyze business processes and recommend system improvements Monitor data integrity, security, and system performance Support implementation and upgrades of enterprise software applications Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolutions with IT teams/vendors Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for leadership Train employees on system usage and best practices Assist with data migration, integration, and automation initiatives Ensure compliance with company policies and data governance standards Collaborate with stakeholders to identify technology needs and solutions Qualifications Ability to obtain and maintain your Secret clearance post-employment. US Citizenship. Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. A High School Diploma and 4 years of additional experience or an Associates degree and 2 years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree. 1 year of experience. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and reporting tools. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Ability to work a Hybrid schedule and be on-site at our Arlington, Virginia office three days a week. Ability to travel 10% of the time. Additional Beneficial Qualifications An active or current Secret Clearance. Experience in MIS, business systems, or IT support. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools. Familiarity with cloud-based systems and data integration platforms. Certification in data analytics, project management, or IT systems preferred. Work experience in the Military/Navy is a plus. Experience with working with MIL-STDs, MIL-SPECS, and NAVSEA drawings. Experience writing or editing technical requirements. Experience with PLM, ERP, CRM, or business intelligence systems. Knowledge of database management and data analysis techniques. Salary Range The range for this position can be found at the top of this posting. Actual base salary will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the scope of the role, relevant experience, job-related knowledge, education and training, key skills, and geographic market considerations. For roles available in multiple states, the range may vary to reflect differences in local labor markets.
