As part of the National Veterinary Associates (NVA) family, we are committed to cultivating the next generation of veterinary professionals through exceptional mentorship and meaningful clinical exposure.What to Expect: Externs at Pet Medical Center of Katy will be integrated into our day-to-day operations and actively involved in patient care. You'll work closely with experienced veterinarians and our compassionate support team to build confidence in key clinical skills while learning how a thriving practice runs behind the scenes.Externship Opportunities Include:Conducting physical exams and collecting patient historiesDeveloping diagnostic and treatment plansParticipating in dentistry and soft tissue surgeries (based on experience)Gaining hands-on experience in clinical procedures and case managementEnhancing client communication and team collaboration skillsProgram Details: Location: Pet Medical Center of Katy Duration: minimum 2 weeks, up to 4 weeks, depending on availability Eligibility: Open to 3rd, and 4th year veterinary students Travel/Living Stipend: Available for students in the clinical portion of their educationWhether you're early in your clinical journey or preparing for your final year, we're excited to support your growth in a fun, fast-paced, and mentorship-rich environment.
