Energy Efficiency Program Coordinator

Overview DOE’s Energy Efficiency Division is seeking an Energy Efficiency Program Coordinator (260002J0) to manage the Energy Efficiency Advisory Council (EEAC) and the Merrimack Valley Renewal Fund (MVRF) grant programs and provide general project management support. The role supports all aspects of building decarbonization, collaborates with the Program Administrators of the Mass Save program, and contributes to the development of building and energy codes. Responsibilities Manage activities and administration of the EEAC, including monthly agenda setting, meeting material preparation and circulation, website updates, and review of meeting minutes. Handle EEAC-related procurement and contract management. Support Mass Save three-year planning, program tracking and plan priorities. Manage relationships with EEAC councilors, program administrators, and council consultants to advance the three-year plan implementation. Maintain Division data and documents. Serve as project manager for MVRF and other division projects as needed. Support division project management for initiatives such as Large Building Energy Reporting (LBER) and the New England Heat Pump Accelerator. Perform additional duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing projects that are complex and involve multiple partners and stakeholders. General knowledge of building energy efficiency and clean energy technologies. Ability to communicate effectively, create consensus, and manage varied stakeholder positions. Organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in reporting. Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and other project management tools. Ability to manage complex projects from concept to implementation, creatively solve problems, and work in a fast‑paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with building energy efficiency and clean energy technologies. Familiarity with building energy efficiency technologies and policies. Familiarity with the administration and delivery of the Mass Save program, including the statutory framework for its development and delivery. Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects successfully. Minimum Qualifications At least three years of full-time (or equivalent part-time) professional experience in business administration, business management, public administration, or related fields, involving program management, coordination, planning, or analysis. Substitutions: a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, or public administration may replace up to two years of the required experience; a graduate degree may replace the required experience; a bachelor’s or higher degree in another field may replace up to one year of experience.
