Job Description
Registered Nurse - Chemo

Schedule

Shift: 8-hour days, 07:45 AM - 05:15 PM, Monday through Friday. No weekend requirements.

Assignment Details

Contract length: 13 weeks, with 40 hours offered per week. Flexible RTO of 7 days max for auto offers.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of oncology-specific experience.
• BCLS and ONS Chemo/Bio certification are required.
• Must bring personal stethoscope.
• Central line experience required.
• Familiarity with Pyxis and Epic EMR systems is preferred.
• Preferred certification: OCN.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy to patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions to treatment.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Compliance / Notes

Pre-shift COVID screening is required. Unit orientation is 8 hours, varying by skill level. Scrubs are not provided; navy blue required.
