Registered Nurse - Interventional RadiologyThe role of a Registered Nurse in Interventional Radiology involves providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing various procedures, including those in Interventional Radiology, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound. The position encompasses both pre and post-procedure care, including recovery in the Phase 2 recovery area.Shift Details10-hour shifts: 07:00 - 17:30 or 08:00 - 18:30Staffing ratios: 1:5Occasional weekend requirements: On-call as availableQualificationsMinimum of 1 year of nursing experience requiredFirst-time travelers are welcomeRequired certifications: ACLS and BLSPending licenses are acceptedRTO restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 daysRole ResponsibilitiesProvide nursing care during prep and recovery of procedural patients.Administer moderate sedation for Interventional Radiology procedures involving CT, Ultrasound, and Interventional Radiology cases.Monitor patients undergoing MRI, including those with pacemakers and those requiring anxiolytic medications.Handle medication administration for nuclear medicine patients.Collaborate in procedures including biopsies, tube placements, line insertions, drains, lytics, thrombectomies, and liver embolizations.Utilize equipment such as Air Pal for patient movement and ceiling lifts in CT rooms, as well as NK monitors with EtCO2 monitoring.Facility HighlightsType of Facility: Short-Term Acute CareAccreditations: Magnet designation, Teaching facility, Level III Trauma CenterTotal Staffed Beds: 672Scrub Color: ProvidedCharting Systems: Excellian/EpicParking: Flat rate of $0.55 per hourClient Details State MN
